CLAUS AIRCOOLED CARS
1952 barndoor panel van
Finished after seven years of restauration. This bus made his job at the Baden Baden fire brigade. In the back of the bus they have installed a large bench and used the bus as a conference car.
To get more light into the bus, they have put four chromed VW headlight rings with flat glasses into the side panels and a larger rear window in the back. Nearly all important barndoor parts were there. Check out my restauration pictures!
For the color combination I choosed original VW color from 1952, L21 pearl grey and L22 medium grey. Many thanks to Niels Timmermann for the great photo shooting!
