1950 VW Hebmüller 14-00523

After a 20 hunt search I finally purchased a Hebmueller convertible.

My friend Michael recently found it advertised appearing late night on mobile.de. At midnight I didn´t dare to bother the seller. But early the next morning I called the Swiss seller. I was the second person to contact him and the car still was available. I directly confirmed the deal and jumped into my car. After a six hours drive I was confronted with a perfectly restored Hebmueller with original engine, original chassis and equipped with all ID tags and it´s body number. Kurt, a retired VW dealer with a master certificate in car mechanics had restored the car back in 1989 in an incredibly perfect manner. This was already his third Hebmueller resto. Because of his intensive contacts in the VW scene and relations to other VW dealers all parts that were to be replaced in this car were replaced by NOS VW parts only.

After having terminated the restoration Kurt sold the car to a good friend. The Hebmueller was driven only 2.800 km after resto, during a period of 22 years and had been constantly stored protected by a car paletot. After Kurt´s friend passed away in early 2011 his heritates asked Kurt to sell the car. After the purchase I added a nice PETRI steering wheel and a NOS split trip speedo. The car used to be registered in the Hebmueller-Registry but to these days without foto and just with it´s chassisnumber.
