1950 VW Hebmüller 14-00684

This Hebmüller was also like 14-00523 one of 300 ordered Typ 14a for Switzerland. I bought it from the second owner Fritz in Mai 2016. When he bought it in 1965 from the first owner, the car still had its white color an the chromed roof rack on the engine decklid. In 1958 the first owner changed the dashboard, to have the “new” 60ies look dashboard in his car.

The rest of the body and the chassis is untouched first metal. Fritz painted the car in dark gren and tuned the 24,5 hp engine with a judson supercharger! He organized a second Hebmüller decklid from a car scrap yard and welded a large moulding on it, to match with the judson supercharger.

After the first engine was worn out, he installed a 34 hp engine and the old engine decklid. The young mechanical engineer Fritz also installed a pre A Porsche brake system and a Porsche steering wheel. In the 90ies he restored the car with a new painting, new seat and roof material.
